We enjoyed the house and the nice weather. The new patio with an access door was a first for us; nice and free, next to the swimming pool. And cooking and grilling on the wood burner was an experience. The trip to the rock formations at Adršpach was definitely worthwhile. The town of Nachod with Hotel restaurant Beranka and the castle above it is also an experience. We also walked for two and a half hours past various wildlife observation huts to the top (880 m. high) of the Ruprechtischer Spicak, with a stunning view of the surrounding area and the house.
Along the way we were amazed at how the timber is collected: the trees are dragged by horses to a collection point and then loaded onto lorries. We followed the blue hiking route along the Polish border to Arthur’s restaurant in Janovičky, where we met the rest of our group with the car; 5 hours hiking was enough for that day! We are definitely coming back for more adventures.
