Poland has also embraced the “speed trap” phenomenon.
Although we (fortunately) haven’t seen them in operation, we noticed when we drove to Vižňov via Poland that the Poles have apparently discovered the phenomenon of “speed traps”. It’s not clear whether it’s a question of raising revenue or traffic safety.
On the road from Legnica to Golinsk (via Bolkow and Jawor) we came across a large number of speed traps along the main roads and in the villages. One more reason for adjusting your speed, above all in the villages! Note that the maximum speed in most villages is 40 km/hr.
